Camminando diritto e fiero sulla mia via di peccato e perdizione, ho commesso un'altra empietà: ho visto
Serenity senza aver visto
Firefly e per giunta in italiano.
Si parte con una introduzione dei personaggi e della storia; se il contesto viene dipinto abbastanza bene lo stesso non si può dire dei protagonisti, in larga misura solo "figure abbozzate". Si salva il capitano e (in parte) River, mentre gli altri si limitano a svolgere il ruolo di comprimari attivi, ma troppo "piatti".
Lo scenario è molto (forse pure un po' troppo) classico del genere: da una parte i cattivi (nei metodi se non nelle intenzioni), dall'altra i buoni capitati nel ruolo un po' per caso, un po' per presa di coscienza (ma di certo non per nascita) e in mezzo di tutti gli altri: scagnozzi dei cattivi (con o senza crisi esistenziali), amici dei buoni, mercenari, figure sullo sfondo, i nemici di tutti (pazzi da legare, se possibile).
Insomma, un incrocio tra lo status quo di
Star Trek: The Next Generation ed alcuni personaggi di
Star Wars.
Come ha già detto
qualcuno (
) questa è
fantascienza classica, con astronavoni, astroporti malfamati, laser che fanno
zzzap! nel vuoto, drammi umani e ogni tanto qualche sana scazzottata. A questo proposito devo dire che, pur apprezzando molto tutto il resto, le scazzottate sono molto
whedoniane, ed è un genere a cui non sono mai riuscito ad abituarmi.
Concludendo: si lascia guardare, ma in due ore piene mi aspettavo sicuramente un migliore approfondimento dei personaggi e - se possibile - una trama un po' meno lineare.

Baldwin di quanto non lo fosse lo stesso Adam! Il che mi porta alla conclusione che essere
